Fighting Back 2016 24 Hour Marathon Stream Aftermath

Once again we reach the conclusion of our annual Fighting Back 24 Hour Marathon Stream, which as usual was filled with laughs, surprises and terrible jokes. We crushed our initial goal of $10,000 and then beat our secondary goal of $15,000 before finally ending the stream with a last minute surge of donations to reach $18,000+.

On the behalf of the other members of newLEGACYinc I’d like to extend a thanks to Mark Pollesel for organising the Fighting Back events which spawned these streams to help support them and their cause, Evil Uno, Mike Rotch, Evie, Jervis Cottonbelly, Addy Starr, Cecil Nyx and Sidney Bakabella for taking time out of their day to turn up to the stream, all the people who RT’d the Fighting Back stream to spread the word about the charity/event, the viewers who made this stream by watching, sharing and donating, and the mods who were super helpful in the chat making sure everything was running smoothly for the viewers and maintaining the peace.

On a personal level I would like to thank the bros in the group for supporting the stream in whatever capacity that was available to them. Johnny, Jericho, duel, Htial and Dino are troopers for sticking around for the entire 24 hours to entertain us all, not to short sell Blake and Caveman for participating at any chance they had, Slip and LT were unable to participate in the call due to real world circumstances but were able to make their presence known be it through promotion on Twitter, participation in the stream chat or through donations. Without all of you guys the stream might not have blew up as much as it did and I’m sure everyone appreciates all you guys did.

If you didn’t get the chance to support the Canadian Cancer Society and the Fighting Back organisation during the marathon but still want the opportunity you can go here to learn more about the organisation and to donate if you want to.

I’d like to thank everyone once again for turning up and supporting the stream and I hope that the next time we do something like this it’ll be just as much of (if not more of) a success than this year. The VODs should be available ASAP so keep an eye out on the nL YouTube channel during the week.
